My thoughts on the Oscars 2025

Jadd J.A.D.D. Jadd

Yesterday's Oscars were interesting. I felt Wicked should’ve won, and in the best actress category, it was a tough call. I wish Jon M. Chu was nominated for best director instead of Jacques Audiard. Seriously, it was a massive snub. Adrian Brodey's speech was effective and true, a little long, but I got it. I did my review for Emilia Perez, and it was a difficult movie to watch and review. A massive congratulations to Paul Tazewell for winning Best Costume Design for Wicked. The first black and gay man to win in this category is a milestone, congratulations again, sir. And Wicked won Best Production Design. I'm waiting for next year for 'Wicked: For Good' to sweep the Oscars next year. There were a few good things in it, and I'm happy that Zoe Saldana won because she gave it to her all. But I can't stand that movie. To me, the highlights were Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande singing together, and I was in tears and an absolute wreck. They sang not only from Wicked, but The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz.
