This was is a psychological and a cautionary tale of royalty and how that damages someone from the inside. Kristen Stewart is remarkable as Princess Diana I really sympathized with her I felt for her in dilemma. You can see her struggling mentally and wanting to leave the world of the Royals behind but her love for her children is stronger and she refuses to leave them. Jack Farthing, Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall are excellent. Jack Nielen and Freddie who plays the princes are also very good. Pablo Larraín skilfully made a detailed and claustrophobic Journey of Princess Diana. Jonny Greenwood's score hits the perfect tone of eeriness and melancholy. The cinematography from Claire Mathon is outstanding it has a foggy haze that matches perfectly with the mental unravelling of the main character.
The only flaws I could spot were it should’ve ended at a certain point but kept going on and it felt like I was watching a deleted scene that the filmmakers put in the last minute.
